Directed by Mr. Dotson, the Class of 1965 performed The Haunting — a suspenseful drama based on Shirley Jackson’s supernatural tale. Marilyn Peeks, Julie Schramm, Tom Burger, and Connie Bredemeier brought the chilling mystery to life, with scenes that still live in memory: locked doors, eerie whispers, and the moment Eleanor cried, “It can’t get in, it won’t get us!”On the Field: First in the NCKL
The Bulldogs claimed the NCKL championship with a dominant season: six wins, one loss, and two ties. Quarterbacks Jerry Cohorst and Rich Dummermuth led the team, supported by a powerhouse roster including Bob Boyda, Jerry Lake, Bill Lackrouth, and Marvin Throm. Their Homecoming win over Belleville was one for the books — with the Bulldogs pulling ahead 44–0.New This Year: Cross Country Begins
For the first time, Marysville launched a Cross Country team — coached by Mr. Lauer and Mr. Norris. Mike Scheetz led the squad as top scorer, racing in meets across northeast Kansas. You were the class that helped start a brand-new Bulldog tradition.Ready to celebrate 60 years?
