Saturday Spotlight: Ruby Mett, Class of 2015 🎓

Each week, we feature an MHS alum and share their journey beyond high school. This week’s Saturday Spotlight highlights Ruby Mett, Class of 2015, whose journey has been filled with resilience, personal growth, and a deep appreciation for the friendships formed at MHS.

Finding Strength in Friendship

One of Ruby’s most memorable moments at MHS wasn’t tied to academics or sports but rather to the unwavering support of her friends. She recalls going through her first heartbreak, and instead of facing it alone, she was surrounded by the love and encouragement of her classmates.

This experience helped her realize that MHS wasn’t just a school—it was a family, and those friendships would leave a lasting impact on her life.

Life’s Unexpected Path

After high school, Ruby originally planned to own a construction business and move away from Marysville. However, life had different plans. Instead of following that path, she found herself embracing a different, yet just as meaningful, role—becoming a mother.

Today, she is raising her children in Marysville while working at Walmart, striving to instill in them the same values of kindness and respect that she cherished during her time at MHS.

MHS Memories: School Spirit and Simple Joys

Ruby looks back on her senior homecoming as one of her favorite high school moments. The excitement, the friendships, and the unforgettable atmosphere made it an experience she would love to relive.

And when it comes to cafeteria favorites, one item stood out above the rest—the pretzels with jalapeño cheese from the ala cart!
